The Cubs?Äô volleyball girls looked sharp in the season opener last Tuesday night, Aug. 26, at Wirth Gym, shutting out Ogilvie, 3-0. Kimball held the Lions to 17, 12, and 11 points, respectively, in the three-game decision. Cubs?Äô coach Scott Heinen appreciates the effort and the support. ?ÄúThis was a fun match with a fun crowd. The first match of the season there is always a lot happening, from nerves to pre-match work; new lineups, etc. Everyone contributed and things progressed greatly. The fans were positively rambunctious and many families were there supporting the athletes. Oh, and thanks to Mr. Westrich and Jessie, the custodian, for all of your help.?Äù
