Kathleen Belanger of Waite Park died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Sterling Park in Waite Park. She was 90.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at St. Mary’s Cathedral Crypt in St. Cloud with Rev. Anthony Oelrich officiating. Friends and relatives may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, with parish prayers at 6 p.m. at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud, and also after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Paynesville.

Kathleen Margaret Kelly Belanger was born to the late Fred J. and Molly (O’Brien) Kelly in Havre, Mont. She grew up in Billings, Mont., and graduated from Cathedral High School in St. Cloud. Kathleen worked in collections at Sears in Minneapolis. She married Kenneth O. Belanger May 17, 1943, in Minneapolis and they moved to South Dakota, then to California. Kathleen was a homemaker. They lived in Robbinsdale from 1953 to 1986 and, after Kenneth’s retirement, they moved to Kimball. Kathleen was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Robbinsdale where she was a librarian and church organist. She enjoyed piano, music, and reading, and her main activity was being involved in the church.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 2003, and her son Brien in 2000; brothers Fred, Rev. Robert, and Donald Kelly; and sister Mary Louise O’Ryan.

She is survived by her children Kenneth O. Belanger Jr. of Maple Grove, Mary Kay Belanger of New York City, N.Y., Kelly Belanger of Minneapolis, and Stephen Belanger of Eagan; sister Patricia K. Witte of St. Cloud; grandchildren Roslyn Belanger of Minneapolis, Kenneth O. Belanger III of Columbia Heights, and Kevin Belanger of Fridley; and great-grandchildren Angelia Belanger of Minneapolis, Chynna Belanger of Minneapolis, and Ian Minchow of Fridley.
