In a program coordinated by the Fair Haven Lions, U.S. Congressman Mark Kennedy came to Kimball Area High School Monday, April 4, for Liberty Day. He shared his enthusiasm for the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, and explained how government helps to guarantee liberty. He also answered questions from the audience, including “Why is gasoline so expensive?” “Why is the National Guard in Iraq?” “When are the troops coming home?” “How much money do you make?” “How old are you?” “What’s your favorite food?” and “What’s your mother’s name?” Also participating in the program were the color guard from the Kimball American Legion, several members of the Fair Haven Lions, the KAHS choir and KAHS band.
