Kimball Elementary School students in grades 3 through 6 jumped all over heart disease and stroke by participating in Jump Rope for Heart Friday, Feb. 27. Approximately 200 students participated in this year’s event, which raised $5,604.03 for the American Heart Association. Funds raised for Jump Rope for Heart help fight heart disease and stroke, the nation’s number one and number three killers, respectively. “This year’s event was a huge success, and I would like to thank everyone who participated,” Mr. Strand, Jump Rope for Heart Coordinator said. “We’re very proud of all the jumpers, and we all had a lot of fun.” Jump Rope for Heart is a program designed to promote physical fitness and heart health. It is co-sponsored by the American Heart Association and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
