Congratulations go out to the nine students who were named December Students of the Month. In it’s fifth year at Kimball Elementary School, the Student of the month program recognizes students who are selected for this honor based on academic achievement, extraordinary effort, and/or exemplary citizenship. Classroom teachers at each grade level choose a student to represent their group. When a student is chosen for Student of the Month, a letter is sent home to notify parents, and the students’ photo and a paragraph about themselves is on display by the office. At the end of the month, students are invited to a Super Sundaes for Super Students activity. There they receive certificates, pencils and ice cream treats to celebrate the honor. Superintendent Dr. Scott Thielman also sends letters home to students and parents to recognize this achievement. Kimball Elementary School is proud to recognize these students.
