The key to a 40- to 50-yard chip is to set the angle of the wrist on the backswing and then turn your shoulders through on the downswing and follow through. You may think ?Äòhit with the hands,?Äô instead, hit with your shoulders. That way, the length of the backswing determines how far the ball is going to go, not the force of the perfect touch you?Äôve got to have with the hands at the bottom of the swing. Take some time on the practice range and get the feel for this shot.
