The Kimball 12U Baseball Team are league champions after finishing an incredible season this past weekend in Hanover. The Cubs finished their season with a record of 10-1-1. This is their first season in the Crow River League, and they faced a lot of tough competition.
They started the tournament on Saturday playing Hanover Purple and won 11-9. They also won their second game against Dassel-Cokato White by a score of 8-4. Both wins gave them the #2 seed going into Sunday single elimination bracket for the championship.
They had a first round bye and played Hanover Purple again for a spot in the championship game. They were down 6-4 going into the last inning and came back in what was an incredible inning to win 8-6 with not even a single out.
This sent them on to play Rockford Green for the championship game, in which the Cubs dominated in an 11-1 win.
