CITY OF KIMBALL ADOPTION OF AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE 650 WHICH REPEALS PORTIONS OF THE TEXT OF ORDINANCE 650 DEALING WITH REGULATING AND LICENSING ANIMALS
SUMMARY PUBLICATION
The City of Kimball has adopted an Amendment to Ordinance 650 which repeals the text of Ordinance 650 Regulating the Licensing of Dogs within the City of Kimball.
The purpose of the Amendment to the Ordinance is to no longer provide for the licensing of dogs within the City of -Kimball. The City has found that with the increase of animal microchipping and the use of social media, this has become an outdated practice as a means of locating owners and thus has become time-consuming to staff.
This publication is a summary of the Amendment to Ordinance 650 which repeals the text of Ordinance 650 Regulating the Licensing of Dogs within the City of Kimball. All other regulations regarding the keeping of dogs within the City of Kimball shall still remain in effect.
The Council has approved this summary publication unanimously.
The full text of Ordinance 650 is available for inspection by any person during regular office hours at the office of the Kimball City Clerk.
The Ordinance was adopted by the City Council of Kimball on the 12th day of June 2023, and shall be effective upon publication.
