Anna Donnay and Darius Westrich are selected from Kimball Area High School. Established in 1988, the Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award (Triple ?ÄúA?Äù Award) is sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League. The award goes to high school seniors who have a ?ÄúB?Äù or better grade point average and who participate in League-sponsored athletic and fine arts activities.
Anna is the daughter of Chris and John Donnay. She is in cross country, track, band and volunteers many hours at her church. Anna plans to attend
South Dakota State University on a cross country scholarship while she pursues Dairy Science as a major.
Darius is the son of Trudy and Byron Westrich. He is in football, basketball, baseball, choir, and volunteers with coaching youth basketball. Darius is undecided on a college but plans on pursuing physical therapy or teaching as a major while playing basketball. They will compete in the region Triple A banquet held at Paynesville Wednesday, Jan. 11.
