Kimball Area Historical Society invites you to “Hildred Gets Her Star” next month Tuesday, May 20, at 7 p.m.
Hildred Olson of Dassel was a little person invited to join the Munchkin cast of The Wizard of Oz movie at the MGM Studio in Culver City, Calif., in 1938.
Her life and experience are now the subject of an exhibit at the Dassel History Center. Bill Ward, Dassel area writer and the museum volunteer who developed the exhibit, will present Hildred’s story at the Kimball City Hall at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 20. More details to follow.
