Congratulations to the Kimball Area Theatre Department on casting an incredible Fall Musical. “Anastasia” was a beautiful journey into the past. More than 700 people came out to enjoy the “Anastasia” Fall Musical over the weekend of Nov. 11-13, which was led by six staff members and casted with 56 Kimball area students in grades 3-12.
“This was our largest cast at Kimball and we opened up auditions for students in grades 3-12 this fall,” said Kenzie Traurig, the director of the Kimball Fall Musical. “Most of our students are involved in several other activities in addition to the play and have a lot on their plates. Our students showed up ready to work. Four of our nine seniors were in our first show ‘Grease,’ back in 2018. Olivia Hawley has been in all five shows since we started performing these Fall Musicals. These seniors really showed up for each other. There were a lot of new students on the stage as well, and the seniors provided great leadership, making sure the new students knew what was happening. Backstage, all of our students really encourage and celebrate each others’ performances on stage. As a director, that is really cool to see,” stated Traurig.
This talented group of nine seniors shined on stage, leaving a lasting impression for years to come.
