Kimball baseball closes books on another season

Though the Cubs endured a pretty tough year in the win/loss column, they did produce some very outstanding accomplishments along the way. According to Head Coach Adam Beyer, Kimball’s first team all-conference player is Gavin Winter, and the Cubs’ second team all-conference player is Hank Meyer. Too, Gavin Winter set some new school records this year. He set the single-season hit record with 41, the single-season average record at .577, career triples record with 7, and career batting average at .450. On Tuesday, May 30, Kimball lost to Eden Valley-Watkins, 6-1, in Section 6AA first round action, to close the Cubs’ 2023 campaign.
