May 18, 2007 Kimball 12 – St. Johns 4 Kimball sophmore Bobby Arens went six strong innings, giving up four hits and allowing only one earned run. Bobby pitched well and had four strike outs; he allowed the defense to play behind him and they played really well, turning three double plays in the game. Kimball only had four hits in the game, but hit the ball hard and stealing bases to put themselves in scoring position. Steve Lochen had three stolen bases to lead the Cubs. Kimball is riding a four-game winning streak headed into playoffs, but first they take on the sixth rank team, in Paynesville. The guys are playing well at the plate, on the mound and in the field. We are comming into our own and teams are starting to take notice, hopefully we can ride this awhile into the playoffs. Kimball batting: Jason Tenney 1-4 DBLE, Karl Hunt 1-3 2 RBIs, Steve Lochen 1-2 3SB. Record: 6-12 Nathan Schwieters, KAHS Head baseball coach
