Kimball Bloodmobile falls short of goal

·

The bloodmobile held in Kimball on Aug. 16, fell short of its goal. We only had hoped to collect 80 units and sadly this is the least we have ever collected. We only managed to get 56 units, which is quite low for our area drive. We never can be sure of why we didn’t get more donors, but we as the co-ordinating team, know how important it is to have blood available when it is needed. We thank all our donors, our volunteers who helped with set up and take down, calling donors, help in the canteen and registration area, the Kimball Legion Auxiliary for providing lunch, the Kimball Fire Department for monies toward the blood drive and the Rod and Gun Club for their financial support as well. It takes many to make a successful drive. Earning gallon pins were: Rob Blanchard (1 gallon), Vicki Woods and Ethel Donnay (2 gallon), Carla Asfeld (3 gallon), Diane Gavin (5 gallon) and Dorothy Schmitz (8 gallon). What a wonderful accomplishment and special thanks to you all. Your outgoing co-ordinating team would like to express our appreciation and thanks to so many who over the past years helped to make our drives successful and rewarding. We wish success to the next team coming in and ask you to support them as well. Remember you can donate every 56 days and the need is always there. Help save a life, it could be someone you know and care about!
