Kimball Boy Scout update

The Kimball Boy Scout Troop completed their 20-mile hike Saturday, Aug. 1. The Troop hiked around Lake Koronis in Paynesville. This is the final hike requirement for the Hiking Merit Badge. The boys completed (1) five-mile hike, (3) 10-mile hikes, (1) 15-mile hike, and (1) 20-mile hike. The boys also qualified for a special Hiking Award for 50 miles completed.

The Troop was very happy to have these hikes finished. The hikes are good practice for next summer: the Troop will be hiking in the mountains in New Mexico at Philmont Scout Camp.
