The Kimball Cubs traveled to St John’s to take on the Johnnies Tuesday, Jan. 22. The Cubs were able to come out and control the game thanks to their tough defense.
The Cubs were also able to get out and run the floor for easy buckets which helped give them a 27 to 4 lead at half. The second half the Cubs were able to continue their success from the first half and continue their impressive defense and finish the game giving up 10 total points. The Cubs would finish the game 44 to 10. Kimball Cubs hosted Pierz Pioneers on Thursday, Jan. 24. The first half started as a back and forth battle between the two teams. The Cubs were able to get scoring from five different players led by Jack Knaus who gave the Cubs 9 first half points to help give the Cubs a 24 to 23 lead at half. The second half the Cubs went cold from the floor as Pierz was able to make a run to take the lead. The Cubs were unable to get back on track and would fall 36 to 58.
