Kimball JV vs Brandon-Evansville

The Cubs had a tight battle vs Brandon-Evansville Chargers. The first half was back and forth as both teams went into the half with 19 points. The second half was just as close as neither team could pull away. Carl Blanchard was able to provide the Cubs with a much needed shut down defense on the Chargers best player down the stretch. The Cubs as a team were able to keep the Chargers from scoring in the last minute and a half of the game. Jevonte Victor had four three pointers on the night. None bigger than the three pointer with just over a minute left in the game that stretched the Cubs lead from 1 to 4 points. They held that until the end when Noah Jurek had a put-back at the buzzer, giving him 20 points on the game and 15 of those in the second half. The Cubs were able to battle and make the big plays down the stretch that helped them pull off a 48-42 win over Brandon-Evansville, giving the Cubs their fifth win in a row.
