Kimball lost by two in the first match against section opponent Nor-wood-Young America, 36-34. Andrew Huhn (112) and Emily Straley (119) got their first wins of the year. Huhn, Erich Deutsch (135), Dan Barthel (145) and John Hanley (152) earned pins for Kimball. Kimball won the second match against Howard Lake-Waverly, 54-24. Jacob Kieke (103) got his first win of the season. In the biggest match of the night, Dan Barthel (145) pinned Ryan Miller after losing to him at the ACGC tournament. Two of the Cubs’ wrestlers were out because of illness, but the less experienced wrestlers did very well the whole night.
