In September K.E.S. Student Government elections were held. The following students were elected to be the classroom representatives by their peers for the 2018-19 school year.

The representatives from fifth grade are Noah Merten, Cruz Gohmann, Tyler Wylie (vice president), and Riley Fischer (president).

The new representatives from fourth grade are Claire Maus, Hope Kuechle, Kennedy Theis, Courtney Leither, Hawkins Nyholm (treasurer), and Veronica Reek (secretary).

Student Government is a student-run group where representatives from the fifth- and fourth-grade classes meet to discuss ways to improve our school and community. Students are responsible to plan and organize school-wide events such as hat, spirit and pajama days, and also other special holiday events. Fundraising is typically done throughout the school year as well as to raise money for our school and local organizations. Lastly, we work with Gohmann’s to collect and count receipts. At the end of the school year the receipts are exchanged for school items such as iPads, playground equiptment, and other teacher/student supplies.

K.E.S. Student Council looks forward to another successful year. They are excited about helping the Kimball school and community. If you have any questions or ideas for the Student Government, please ask any current representative, or contact the advisor Mrs. Melissa Herrington at the Kimball Elementary School.
