The Kimball Fire Relief Association hosted the 40th annual Pancake & Sausage Breakfast at the Kimball Area Fire Hall. (The fire department also celebrates their 100th year in 2017.) Each family attending received a pancake turner for the occasion. With 1,300 people coming for a hearty breakfast Sunday morning, April 9, it was a near-record attendance. (The record stands at 1,326.) Steve Decknatel, Mark Beck, and Brian Kiffmeyer were among the volunteer firefighters manning the grills and serving breakfast.
