The Cubs took to the road last Friday, Sept. 7, and earned a bit of sweet revenge, defeating Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, 34-0. At their last meeting (October 2017), the Cubs lost to the Jaguars, 40-14, in the Section 4A quarterfinals.
“Tonight, we played running time the whole second half, and we were able to play all non-
starters on offense. Donnie Johnson also blocked a punt and returned it for a TD. We were happy with how we played, but we know we have a long season ahead of us. I want our kids to enjoy the win this weekend, but come back Monday with all of our focus on a good Parker’s Prairie team. I have a lot of respect for Coach Sieling and his team. We have a tough task ahead of us,” exclaimed Coach Johnny Benson.
