The Lady Cubs had a rough go of it last week, battling and losing, 1-3, to Dassel-Cokato Tuesday, Sept. 7. Things did not improve on Thursday, as Kimball lost, 3-0, to a talented Maple Lake team.

Set scores were 20-25, 23-25, 25-15, and 21-25.
“The match was competitive. Offensively, we had good swings on the ball. Our serving made the difference in the third set. We just need to keep working on consistency in our passing. Overall, we are seeing progress,” explained Coach Tabitha Mortenson.

“We lost to Maple Lake tonight. Unfortunately, one of my outside hitters went down during warm ups. We had moments of confidence, but we just couldn’t sustain it,” Coach Mortenson remarked.
