Kimball girls take two – again

Lately, the Lady Cubs have been playing a lot, and winning a lot. Coming off of a two-game sweep of Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa last week, the Cubs enjoyed a little déja vu, sweeping Holdingford in a twin bill on Monday, May 15. That moves the Kimball kids to a spectacular 14-2 overall record on the season.

Game 1

The Cubs rallied for a dozen runs in the second inning, en route to an 18-5 victory. Claire Maus led Kimball to victory in the circle. She worked five innings, allowing seven hits and five runs, while striking out four.

Game 2

Completing the task at hand, the Lady Cubs kept the bats working in game two, securing a 10-4 decision. Kimball pulled away for good, with four runs in the third inning. Riley Fischer got the win, surrendering four runs on five hits over seven innings, and striking out 13.
