Anna Donnay ran away with the show yet again, even though it was an informal relay instead of a true meet. Kimball hosted the cross country meet Monday,
Oct. 12, at the Kimball Golf Club on what may have been the coldest day of the season. It certainly was the windiest.
Donnay, a junior this year, finished the relay far ahead of everyone else. Again. And by herself, running all four legs of the relay while everyone else ran it as a true relay. (In three meets this season, she finished 1-2 minutes ahead of all other runners.)
The cross country team is faring average on the season, with one remaining conference meet.
EV-W/Kimball cross country has its final CMC meet at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at Pierz.
Denzel Atherton finishes her leg of the relay on this cold and windy day.
Anna Donnay comes in to the finish line well ahead of all competition at the Oct. 12 meet hosted at Kimball Golf Club. While everyone else ran the race as a relay, Anna ran the whole race herself (and still came in first) Staff photos by Marguerite Laabs.
Maddy Libbesmeier is all smiles as she completes her leg of the relay.
