Kimball students are shooting archery in Physical Education classes this winter. Thanks to the Lions, Kimball Area Fire and Rescue, and Kimball Rod and Gun Club for donating money towards a DNR matching grant. Each organization chipped in $400 towards the DNR grant so Kimball could receive 12 bows, 100 carbon arrows, a kevlar back stop, five targets and a repair kit. The grant is worth $5,000 of materials that the Kimball students can utilize in their PE classes for the future. It is a great way to introduce students to the world of archery in a safe environment. Something different that students can do in class than your typical ball sport activity. Kimball students are having fun with archery. Submitted photo.
