May 14, 2007 Kimball 7 – HLWW 3 The Kimball JV baseball team hosted Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted last Monday. Bobby Arens pitched the first four innings for the Cubs allowing one run on three hits while striking out five. Zak Kuseske pitched the final three innings and picked up the win. Zak gave up two runs, both unearned, on three hits while striking out four and walking one. On offense for the Cubs Tommy Linn and Andy Dingmann each collected two hits. Zak Kuseske, Tom Winkleman, and Tyler Gregory also added hits. Tom Winkleman and Andy Dingmann scored two runs a piece for the Cubs. May 18, 2007 Kimball 13 – St. John’s Prep 1 Tommy Linn allowed just one unearned run in five innings and picked up the win. Tommy gave up three hits and struck out eight while walking one batter. On offense Kimball belted 10 hits led by Burke Tagney who had three. Tommy Linn and Andy Dingmann added two hits. Tom Winkleman, Stephan Kurkosky, and Ryan Young also chipped in with hits. Burke Tagney and Stephan Kurkosky each scored three runs in the game. Tommy Linn and Ryan Young led the team with three RBI a piece. The Junior Varsity team now has a record of 10 wins and seven losses with one game remaining at Paynesville on Monday, May 21. May 21, 2007 Kimball 4 – Paynesville 9 The Kimball JV baseball team finished the season with a loss at Paynesville. Burke Tagney started on the mound for the Cubs and allowed three hits and nine runs, only two of which were earned. Zak Kuseske pitched the final five innings striking out six, walking one and allowing two hits. Offensively, the Cubs had seven different players get hits: Scott Stenger, Zak Kuseske, Andy Dingmann, Tyler Gregory, Bobby Arens, Stephan Kurkosky and Allan Mancini. Andy Dingmann scored two of the four Kimball runs. With the loss the Cub’s ended the season with a record of 10 wins and eight losses. Jay Klein, coach
