Kimball 9 – Maple Lake 0 The Kimball JV Baseball Team played at Maple Lake last Tuesday. Bobby Arens pitched a complete game shutout and only allowed one hit to pick up the pitching win. He struck out eight and gave up one walk. Zak Kuseske led the Cubs with two hits and three RBI. Scott Stenger, Tyler Gregory, and Bobby Arens each chipped in with a hit. Tom Winkleman and Scott Stenger each scored two runs. Kimball 0 – Pierz 10 4 innings One tough inning proved to be the difference in the game against Pierz. The Pioneers scored all 10 runs in the second inning and went on to defeat the Cubs. Tommy Linn pitched three innings and took the loss. Scott Stenger led the hitting attack with two hits. Adrian Young, Tommy Linn, and Zak Kuseske each added a hit. Kimball 2 – Litchfield 15 5 innings The Cubs had a tough outing last Friday losing to the Dragons from Litchfield. Four different players each had a hit in the game: Scott Stenger, Andy Dingmann, Burke Tagney, and Tyler Gregory. Andy Dingmann threw 3 2/3 innings and took the loss for the Cubs. Lester Prairie Tournament Kimball 0 – Glencoe-Silver Lake 4 In the opening round the Cubs faced Glencoe-Silver Lake. Ron Antiel pitched a great game but took the loss for Kimball. The offense could only produce one hit, by Ben Knaus, for the Cubs. Kimball 6 – Lester Prairie 0 3rd place game In the second game of the day Kimball scored runs in four of the five innings and went on to beat the Bulldogs 6-0. Burke Tagney and Ben Knaus combined to throw a no-hitter against Lester Prairie. Burke threw four strong innings and picked up the pitching win. He struck out six and walked three. Travis Rose led the offense with two hits, two runs, and two steals. Ron Antiel and Tyler Gregory each chipped in with a hit as well. Tyler Gregory knocked in two runs with a double and a sacrifice fly. The Cubs record now stands at two wins and three losses. Jay Klein, coach
