Kimball vs Annandale

The Cubs took on the Cardinals of Annandale on Tuesday, Dec. 20. The Cardinals, with the help of the 3-point line, were able to outlast the shorthanded Cubs. Annandale had 10 team 3s to the Cubs 2. Annandale started the game out on a 9-2 run in the first three minutes of the game. However, the Cubs battled their way back, and midway through the first half were able to make it a 2-point game. Annandale was able to push it to a 6-point lead at halftime. The second half, the Cardinals depth and hot 3-point shooting proved to be too much for the Cubs. Annandale went on to beat the Cubs 65 to 45.

The cubs were led by their posts Noah Jurek and Casey Gohmann who had 15 and 12 points respectively.

Kimball vs Milaca

The Kimball Cubs faced off against Milaca for Parents?Äô Night. The Cubs started the game with hot scoring with a 11 to 0 run. But Milaca controlled the rest of the first half and stormed into half time with 37 points and the Cubs trailing with 24. The second half remained about the same, Milaca had a 10-point lead with 5 and one-half minutes to go in the game. Kimball turned up the pressure and cut the lead down to 2 with 4 minutes to go. That?Äôs as close as the Cubs were able to get before Milaca pulled away to defeat the Cubs with a final score of 59 to 64. Turnovers and free-throws hurt the Cubs as they went 16 of 30 from the line while Milaca was 18 of 24. The Cubs were led by Jevonte Victor and his 5 three-pointers to go with his final total of 18 points and Thomas Pearson also added 7 points on the night.
