The Cubs were on the road Friday, March 3, against Maple Lake in their final game of the season.
The Cubs started out the game strong getting an early lead on the Irish, 12-4. The Cubs were able to hold off the Irish?Äôs runs, and late in the half Jevonte Victor hit a deep 3 at the buzzer to take a 28-25 lead into half.
The second half the Cubs struggled to score as they went cold from the floor. The Irish took the lead in the second half and had a double-
digit lead until the Cubs went to the press, forced some turnovers, and were able to get some points off the turnovers. The Cubs had a chance to tie the game late but came up short on the three-point attempt and ran out of time as they fell 43-47 to end a great season.
The Cubs?Äô JV team finished with a 14-12 overall record.
