Mrs. Helgeson?Äôs kindergarten class dived into laser engraving to make their Valentine?Äôs Day boxes. The T&E Express from St. Cloud State University dropped off a laser engraver, which is part of their mobile lab program to bring equipment to schools. Each kindergartener in Mrs. Helgeson?Äôs class typed their name into a premade program on the computer. They then lasered their name on the side of a box along with cutting the different sides to the box on the laser.
The kindergarteners?Äô Book Buddies from Mrs. Herrington?Äôs fourth-grade class helped the students assemble the boxes. It was a fun afternoon for all students. Mrs. Herrington?Äôs class also got to see the laser engraver in action as they lasered a box for Mrs. Herrington.
Students will be decorating their boxes with hearts and stickers in time for Valentine?Äôs Day.
Mrs. Helgeson?Äôs kindergarten teachers used a computer and laser engraver to create boxes for Valentine?Äôs Day, thanks to SCSU. Submitted photo.
