Kimball Kruisers 4-H Report – Visiting Kimball Area Fire Department

·

Sunday, Feb. 14, Kimball Kruisers 4-H members met at the Kimball Area Fire Hall at 6 p.m. for our monthly meeting. Our roll call question was “How much snow will we get until May?’ There were some interesting answers like “too much” and “7 feet.” Food Review/Demonstration Day is March 6 in Litchfield. Chelsey Maus has been working hard on a script for our club to perform at Share-the-Fun April 11. Food Stand Leader is Sue Maus. Abbey Schiefelbein talked about a picture she drew of herself, using a mirror. Shelby Schiefelbein talked about a donut called kolaches that she made. Bailey Schiefelbein talked about a poster with pictures of butterflies she raised over the summer. Good project talks! After the meeting, Fire Chief John Gohmann and Firefighter Steve Decknatel talked about the gear they wear and the equipment they use for fires and rescues. Chief Gohmann gave us a fire-safety quiz. After that, we had the donuts Shelby Schiefelbein made and Frosty Avocado Fondue Abbey Schiefelbein made. Both were very good! Our next meeting is March 7 at St. Anne’s Church.
