Kimball Kruisers 4-H

Kimball Kruisers 4-H members did ditch cleaning along the golf course road before the meeting. We met on Sunday, Oct. 4, at St. Anne’s Church at 6 p.m. for pizza. We welcomed new members to our club and shared with them what 4-H is like. For National 4-H week, our members will wear our Kimball Kruisers 4-H T-shirts to school on Wednesday, Oct. 7. Shelby Schiefelbein went to the Federation Meeting and said that the 4-H Foodstand will be torn down at the Meeker County Fairgrounds in Litchfield, and a new one will be built before next year’s fair. Check out our members serving breakfast and lunch to fairgoers in the new building! The club will decorate Willow Creek Park for the holidays. Ashley Schiefelbein talked about what decorations will be needed to decorate the park. She is looking for donations. We are going to make pumpkin decorations after school on the Oct. 14, for Senior Dining. Cora Gohmann shared her project about the cost of a vacation to Florida, like airfare, hotel, car, restaurants and theme park costs. Casey Gohmann went to Duluth and took a nice picture of a Duluth Lighthouse. Sue Maus talked about the community garden that the 4-H members grew. Our club donated and sold items around the city for events and festivities. Some members worked on the fleece blankets as part of our community pride project. Olivia Fisher, our recreation leader, makes games for the meetings. This week, she brought rolls of toilet paper, and she wanted us to talk about how much we thought we would need for a weekend in the woods. For every square you took, you had to tell something about yourself.
