Kimball American Legion Post #261 has been very busy these past months working on various projects and attending functions. Volunteers for the St. Cloud VA were honored with a plaque for years and hours of service. Those honored were Alvina Berscheid for 1,877 hours, Benedicta Linn for 1,714 hours, Anna Boese for 1,273 hours and LuAnn Marschel for 2,071 hours. Anyone interested in volunteering can call Voluntary Services at (320) 255-6365. Veterans from the St. Cloud VA were guests at the Kimball Legion for lunch. They were entertained with some good country tunes. After lunch, the veterans played bingo. Prizes included bananas, candy bars and personal care items. Coming up for the end of July is the Bloodmobile July 29, and the VA Gazebo Picnic July 30. Volunteers are needed and appreciated.
