June 28, 2007 Holdingford 9 – Kimball 4 Holdingford jumped out to a early 4-0 lead, Kimball relief pitcher matt dingmann pitched well but the Cubs fell short. Kimball did have the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, but Holdingford pitcher Cal Backer finished the complete game by stricking out the batter for the last out of the game. Kimball reliever Karl Hunt pitched four innings, allowing only two earned runs, but a five-run sixth for Upsala proved to be the differnce in the game. This allowed Kimball to battle back in and tie the game at “5” going into the top of the seventh. A two out two-run single by BBE batter put them on top for good and Kimball despite having the tieing run up to bat in the bottom of the seventh could not get back in to it.
