Family Jigsaw Tournament – 9-11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 29
Gather a group of four friends or family members to form a team, select a team name, and enjoy some puzzling fun.
Tournament rules:
• Each team receives the same 300-piece puzzle.
• No one sees the puzzle until the timer begins.
• Each team tries to put the puzzle together the fastest.
• If there is no declared winner by the end of the time limit, the winner is chosen by the team with the fewest remaining loose pieces.
• In the event of a tie, teams will be given an additional five minutes to work on the puzzle.
• Teams are not allowed to distract or approach team tables while the competition is in progress.

Kumihimo Braiding – 9:30-11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 13
This centuries-old braiding technique was originally used to make cords to tie on the armor of Samurai warriors. Using a simple eight-sided loom and embroidery thread, participants will learn to make seven- and eight- stranded braids that can be used as friendship bracelets, bookmarks, and many other things. Water Rockets with Devon – 9:30-11 a.m, Saturday, May 27

Each week throughout the summer reading program, a famous movie quote will be posted to challenge you. Submit your answer to the movie from which it is taken for a chance to win fun weekly prizes. For grade 6 to age 17.

Books, movies, CDs and more – priced to sell. Hardbacks $1; paperbacks and children’s books 50¢. Used fiction books in good condition will be collected May 23 through June 23. No textbooks or nonfiction. All proceeds benefit the Kimball Library.
