The school district is in the process of building the 2025-2026 school year.
In prior years (excluding this year) school has started prior to Labor Day. Based on the local stakeholder survey data (which was conducted in December), the district is looking to do so again in 2025-2026.
For this to happen, the school district must apply for a waiver granted by the Minnesota Department of Education. Prior to submitting the application, the school district must hold three public hearings for public input.
These hearings are scheduled for Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday, Feb. 24, 25 and 26 and will start at 6 p.m. The meetings will be held in the school district board room.
