Kimball spring play – The Outsiders

The Kimball Area Theatre program will showcase its spring play, “The Outsiders,” on April 6 and 7 in the Cafetorium at Kimball Area High School. Opening night is
7 p.m. Saturday while the Sunday matinee curtain opens at 2 p.m.

On Saturday, April 6, Kimball Area Theatre is offering a dinner theatre option for opening night. The dinner theatre will start at 6 p.m., one hour before showtime. Kimball Food Service is providing charcuterie cups with lemonade, ice tea, and sparkling grape juice as the drink options. Each plate will be an additional $7 on top of the show ticket price.

Notify the district if you’re interested in the meal so the food service can plan accordingly, www.kimball.k12.mn.us. Guests are not required to order the -dinner if they want to attend the Saturday evening show.

Doors open one hour prior to showtime on April 6 and 7. Park in the south lot and enter door #10. All tickets will be sold at the door (no pre-sold tickets). Adult tickets will be $10, while seniors and students are $8 each. Children ages 5 and younger are admitted for free.

The play portrays the conflict between two rival gangs of White Americans divided by their socioeconomic status: the -working-class “Greasers” and the upper-middle-class “Socs” (short for Socials). The story is set in 1965 Tulsa.
