Ridgewater College announces the appointment of Jodi Knaus as the institution’s chief human resources officer. She will begin her duties Tuesday, Aug. 21. Knaus comes to Ridgewater from the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system’s Northeast Higher Education District where she had responsibility for personnel across five institutions and six individual campuses. She has 15 years of personnel management experience, 11 within the MnSCU system, and U.S. Steel prior to that. As chief human resources officer, Knaus will be responsible for directing all HR functions across both campuses of Ridgewater College, including administrative oversight and supervision of employment, payroll, and labor relations. In addition, she will oversee HR information systems and reporting, benefits, staff development and safety, EEO and Affirmative Action, and performance management. This position is responsible for the interpretation, administration and compliance with State and Federal employment laws; Master Contracts; as well as state, MnSCU and college policies and procedures. Knaus has a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Psychology from Bemidji State University.
