Kristopher Reyes takes charge at Kimball Tae Kwon Do

·

My name is Kristopher Reyes and I am a first-degree black belt in Tae kwon do. I received my black belt in June 2018 with training under fifth-degree master Jennifer Lourey. She has attained dan in Tae kwon do, sixth-dan in Moo Duk Kwon, fourth-dan in Hapkido, third-degree in Kumdo, and she is a certified self-defense instructor. Lourey is also founder of the Regional Martial Arts Alliance, which is a great organization to be a part of. They have awesome people to train with. I am currently still training there with Master Lourey and working on achieving my second-degree black belt. In addition, I have done some training with Olympian Stephen Lambdin and have learned a great deal of sparring to teach students.
I look forward to learning more new arts forms to teach in the future.
Currently, I work at the Cold Spring Brewing Company in Cold Spring, in the city where I live.
I have also been an instructor at Richmond Regional Tae Kwon Do where I hold classes with both youth and adult students Tuesdays and Thursday with other black belt instructors.
During this time, I have been working with Mr. Matt Serbus at Kimball Tae Kwon Do where I am transitioning to become new head instructor. Come January,, Mr. Matt will step down from his current role as head Tae kwon do instructor there, enabling him to focus on his family and his children’s various sports activities.
I am looking forward to my head instructor position at Kimball Tae Kwon Do (still to be held in The Body Strength Training Shed) in the New Year.
With the change, Kimball Tae Kwon Do will get a new name: Rising Dragons Martial Arts School. Youth classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. with adult classes to follow from 7:30-8:30 p.m. I look forward to teaching at Rising Dragons Martial Arts School in Kimball, where I hope to meet many new parents as well as various Kimball area business owners. Please feel free to stop by and say “hi,” or call me at (320) 420-1368 with any questions. Thank you.
