The Kimball United Methodist Church is pleased to invite you to their Church Mortgage Burning Celebration on Saturday, March 13 and Sunday, March 14. The church was built in 1990 by members and community friends of 53 different churches from seven states and two countries. Activities begin at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 13, with member memories, a hymn sing, musical numbers, skits and speakers followed by refreshments. At 9 a.m. Sunday, March 14, Sunday School classes will be held along with a continental breakfast for all. The morning worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by a soup-and-sandwich lunch. The afternoon Dedication and Mortgage Burning Ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. with greetings and remembrances followed by serving of cake and ice cream. Former pastors and special guests have been invited and will have opportunities to share greetings and memories. There will also be a video presentation, displays of pictures and mementos to view.
