The Kimball softball team battled Eden Valley-Watkins in -double-header action, played over three days. On Wednesday, May 10, the Cubs defeated the Eagles, 10-0. Game two occurred on Thursday, and Kimball topped EV-W, 15-1. Friday saw the Cubs fall to Annandale, 12-2.
Game 1
Claire Maus allowed a single run and just one hit in the shut-out victory. Kimball put the pressure on, with a home run by Brooke Stelten and a double by Allie Leither.

Four runs batted in from Allie Leither helped lead Kimball past Eden Valley-Watkins on Thursday. Leither drove in runs on a single in the second, a fielder’s choice in the third, and a walk in the fourth. Claire Maus was credited with the victory for the Cubs. She surrendered one run on two hits over five innings, striking out eight.

Kimball fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-2 loss to Annandale on Friday. The Cubs struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Annandale. Riley Fischer took the loss for Kimball. The Cubs socked one home run on the day, from Sami Winter in the third inning.
