Coming off a Tuesday double-header sweep of Royalton, the Kimball softball bunch decided to try that again. So they did and they achieved the same result. This time it was a sweep of a good Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City team, 9-0 and 17-0, on Thursday, May 4.
Game 1
Claire Maus shut down the Falcons, throwing a complete game shutout and leading the Cubs to a 9-0 victory. Kimball secured the victory, thanks to six runs in the fourth inning. Maus, Ava Molitor, Riley Fischer, Hallie Arnold, and Allie Leither each had RBI in the frame. Maus earned the win, surrendering zero runs on one hit over seven innings, striking out 11 and walking zero.

Riley Fischer allowed no runs and just two hits as the Cubs overwhelmed the Falcons, 17-0. Ava Molitor was brilliant at the plate, driving in five runs. Fischer allowed two hits and zero runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out 10.
