Fifth-grade teacher at Eden Valley-Watkins, Rebecca Langer has been awarded the Teacher of the Year Award by the V.F.W. of Minnesota for grades K-5.
Langer was nominated by Don Dufner for the local and District 6 awards. She was presented the state award June 6.
The award recognizes exceptional teachers for their outstanding commitment to teaching Americanism and patriotism to their students.
