Larry Stuve of Staples died Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at his home. He was 61. Memorial services were Sunday, July 29, at Fair Haven Christian Church. Private burial was in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery. Larry Layton Stuve was born Oct. 25, 1945, to Oscar and Gertrude (Blumke) Stuve, and spent most of his life in the area. Larry worked in construction as a concrete mason for most of his life before becoming disabled. He played guitar and enjoyed music; daughter Jodi was always his favorite dance partner. He also like to ride motorcycle and enjoyed hunting with his boys. Larry was preceded in death by his father Oscar Stuve. Larry is survived by his wife Marsha; mother Gertrude Stuve; Darlene (Scherr) Stuve, mother of his three children; daughter Jodi (and Joel) Spaeth; sons Kirt Stuve and Shawn (and Karri) Stuve; grandchildren Tyler and Cassey Spaeth, Mark, Amanda, Ashley, Samantha and Chaz Stuve, Sheena (and Bobby) Bohach, Kay and Kristina; great-grandchildren Matix, Zoe, Kailey, Jehrett, Jana, Jacob and Blake; brother Rollin (and Dorothy) Stuve; sisters Verna Lea “Toots” (and Arlen) Salmela and Judy James; and many nieces and nephews.
