A public hearing is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2004, for a variance on a garage for David and Elizabeth Yonke, 5297 Brookfield Road, South Haven, Minn., Section 5, Range 28, TWP 121. The new garage would be located 50 feet from the center of Brookfield Road; and the ordinances call for a setback of 65 feet from this township road. The reason for the variance is because the farther the garage is from Brookfield Road, the more fill that will be required to be hauled onto the property. The property owners are removing a small cabin and replacing it with a log home. According to Fairhaven Township Ordinances Section 504.3.a, setback of structures from township road shall be 65 feet from the center of the road.
