MAINE PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP
Sealed bids for reclaiming and paving 170th St, 121st Ave, & 180th St. will be received at Maine Prairie Township, 7551 Dellwood Road, Kimball, MN 55353. The project includes reclaiming and paving 15,110 LF as shown on the map included in the bid package. Bids can be presented at the meeting on April 14th, 2026 or sent to the address shown above on or before April 14th. Bids will be on forms provided and in accordance with the specifications in the bid documents. PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Maine Prairie Town Planning Board will conduct certain public hearings as follows:
To consider the application for an Interim Use Permit submitted by Annandale Rock Products to allow for gravel mining on parcel ID 20.11752.0000 listed under the ownership of Newco LLC. This parcel is located at 14168 State Hwy 15, Kimball, MN 55353.
To consider the application for an Interim Use Permit amendment submitted by Knife River Corporation – North Central to allow for extended hours of the operation of a temporary concrete and asphalt mixing facility. The request is to operate an additional two Sundays during the months of May and June in 2026, on parcel ID 20.11741.0500 listed under the ownership of Tom and Rhonda Sommers. This parcel is located at 8471 150th St, Kimball, MN 55353.
The public hearings will be held on April 14, 2026, beginning at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, at the Maine Prairie Township Hall, 7551 Dellwood Road, Kimball, Minn.

NOTICE TO MAINE PRAIRIE
TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING ASSESSMENT AND CLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTY
This may affect your 2027 property taxes.
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Appeal and Equalization for Maine Prairie Township shall meet on April 15, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at 7551 Dellwood Road, Kimball, MN. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether taxable property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor, and to determine whether corrections need to be made.
If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns. If you are still not satisfied with the valuation or classification after discussing with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board shall review the valuation, classification, or both if necessary, and shall correct it as needed. Generally, an appearance before your local board of appeal and equalization is required by law before an appeal can be taken to the county board of appeal and equalization.

Notice for Gravel
Kingston Township is asking for sealed bids on screening, loading, hauling, and spreading of approximately 7000 yards of class 5 gravel for 2026 on township roads. All bids must be in the form of cubic yards. Include in your bid the cost of class 5 for emergency delivery ex: washouts and frost boils. You must be willing to work with our township board and road grader operator. We will ask for random tests on gravel loads being hauled. A certificate of insurance must accompany your bid. The township board will not accept any bids that include a surcharge for fuel. Work is to be completed by June 1, 2026 for all dust control areas and all other roads will be done by July 1, 2026. Any gravel delivery after this date will be reduced by $100.00 per day until the fulfillment of the contract has been met. The board reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids. RESOLUTION ISSUING AN ORDER SETTING
A HEARING DATE
REGARDING THE VACATION OF CERTAIN DRAINAGE
AND UTILITY
EASEMENTS IN THE PLAT OF THE LAKES OF FAIRHAVEN
WHEREAS, the board of supervisors (“Town Board”) of Fair Haven Township (“Town”) received a petition, attached hereto as Exhibit A, (“Petition”) requesting the vacation of certain drainage and utility easements located along the line between Lots 6 & 7, Block 5, THE LAKES OF FAIRHAVEN (“D&U Easements”), pursuant to the procedure set out in Minnesota Statute, section 164.07;
WHEREAS, drainage and utility easements dedicated to the public in a plat are held by the Town in trust for the public and, under Minnesota Statutes, section 462.358, subdivision 7, the Town Board may vacate such easements using its road vacation procedure;
WHEREAS, the Town’s road vacation procedure is set out in Minnesota Statues, section164.07, which is the procedure the Town needs to follow to consider the proposed vacation of the D&U Easements;
WHEREAS, the D&U Easements proposed for vacation are described in the attached Petition and are shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit B;
WHEREAS, the Petition appears sufficient under the statute to be processed as the Town Clerk has reviewed the signatures and has determined it contains the signatures of at least eight voters of the Town who own real estate within three miles of the D&U Easements, and it includes a description of the D&U Easements to be vacated;

WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, section 164.07, subdivision 2 requires the Town Board to make an order describing as nearly as practicable the portion of the D&U Easements to be vacated, describing the several tracts of land through which the D&U Easements passes, and fixing a time and place when and where the Town Board will meet and act upon the proposed vacation of the D&U Easements;
WHEREAS, the hearing will be conducted in accordance with the procedures set out in Minnesota Statutes, section 164.07, subdivisions 2 through 13; and
WHEREAS, the D&U Easements rnn to the water, but the Town Board determines it is not necessary to provide the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources notice of this vacation proceeding as the public does not have a direct right to use the D&U Easements proposed for vacation to access the water.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED by the Town Board as follows:
1. The Town Board shall conduct a public hearing on April 6, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. at the Fair Haven Town Hall located 5205 Co Rd 44, South Haven, for the purpose of hearing from the public, considering, and acting on the proposed vacation of the D&U Easements as requested in the Petition. The Town Board is aware of the D&U Easements and determines there is no need to conduct an on-site inspection as part of this process. As such, the Town Board will conduct the hearing scheduled herein without conducting an on-site inspection unless one of the affected owners expressly requests an on-site inspection.
2. The Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to do each of the following:
(a) Provide the petitioners a signed copy of this Order;
(b) Post notice of the hearing at the Town’s usual posting place at least 10 days before the date of the hearing; and
(c) Publish notice of the hearing once in the Town’s official newspaper so it appears at least 10 days before the date of the hearing.
3. The petitioners shall serve a copy of this Order on all the Affected Owners at least 10 days before the date of the hearing. The petitioners are also responsible for providing notice of the proposed vacation to those owning property in the plat. The petitioners are responsible for submitting an affidavit of service, or waivers of service, to the Town by no later than the hearing, which will serve as proof the Affected Owners were served notice or waived personal service of notice. Failure to provide proper notice to the Affected Owners will delay the process until notice is provided and may require portions of the process to be repeated. The Town Board will not proceed with the hearing if it does not receive sufficient proof of the required notices having been provided.
4. The petitioners have prepared a legal description of the D&U Easements proposed for vacation, which is part of the Petition.
5. The Town Chairperson, Clerk, and Attorney are hereby authorized to take such actions as may be needed to prepare the Town to conduct the hearing and to act on the proposed vacation of the D&U Easements.
NOTICE OF RIGHT TO APPEAL
Affected Owners have a right of appeal under Minnesota Statutes, section 164.07, subdivision 7 to seek judicial review of damages, need, and purpose if the Town Board approves the proposed vacation of the D&U Easements as described above.
