MOWING SERVICES
Maine Prairie Township is soliciting quotes for road right-of-way mowing services in 2026. Call the Town Clerk at 320-398-2905 to request a quote packet.
Quotes will be opened at the town meeting on April 14, 2026, at 7:15 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible at Maine Prairie Township Hall, 7551 Dellwood Road, Kimball MN.
Upon acceptance of the quote, the Township will require proof of insurance for general liability and workers’ compensation insurance.
The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any and all quotes and to waive any defect or technicalities therein. Quotes can be presented at the meeting on April 14 or sent to Maine Prairie Township, 7551 Dellwood Road, Kimball MN55353-9704 prior to April 14. Stearns County, Board of Adjustment
Notice is hereby given that the Stearns County Board of Adjustment, in and for the County of Stearns, will conduct the following public hearings to consider variance applications:
1. To consider a request from Suzanne and Daniel Geyen, Clearwater, MN, from the Stearns County Land Use and Zoning Ordinance #439, to construct a detached accessory structure less than 200 feet from Long Lake. Affected Property: Lots 3 and 4, Lumley Addition, Section 8, T122N R27W of Lynden Township. Property Address: 18573 Dover Road, Clearwater, MN.
2. To consider a request from Scott Ergen, South Haven, MN on behalf of Andrew and Catherine Scardigli, Andover, MN, from the Stearns County Land Use and Zoning Ordinance #439, to construct a screen porch addition on an existing deck less than 63 feet from the centerline of Augusta Road. Affected Property: .44A Part of the South ½ of the Northeast ¼ of Section 11, T121N, R28W, of Fair Haven Township. Property Address: 2392 Augusta Road, South Haven, MN.

Important Information Regarding Assessment and Classification of Property
This may affect your property tax payments for next year.
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Appeal and Equalization of the City of Kimball shall meet on April 6, 2026, at 5:30pm, at 1 Main St N, Kimball, MN. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether taxable property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor, and also to determine whether corrections need to be made.
If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns. If you are still not satisfied with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board shall review the valuation, classification, or both if necessary, and shall correct it as needed. Generally, an appearance before your local board of appeal and equalization is required by law before an appeal can be taken to your county board of appeal and equalization.

Chair E. Helgeson opened the meeting at 6:00 with members Gallagher, Mancini, Lindberg, and Libbesmeier in attendance. Member K. Helgeson in attendance remotely. The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all.
Motion by Libbesmeier, seconded by Gallagher to approve the agenda as presented or amended. Motion carried 6-0 via roll call vote.

Motion by K. Helgeson, seconded by Lindberg to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion carried 6-0 via roll call vote.

Sealed bids for reclaiming and paving 170th St, 121st Ave, & 180th St. will be received at Maine Prairie Township, 7551 Dellwood Road, Kimball, MN 55353. The project includes reclaiming and paving 15,110 LF as shown on the map included in the bid package. Bids can be presented at the meeting on April 14th, 2026 or sent to the address shown above on or before April 14th. Bids will be on forms provided and in accordance with the specifications in the bid documents. Contact Board Chairman Dennis Loewen at (320) 290-8731 for project information or to arrange a worksite viewing.
Bids will be opened and read aloud at the Town meeting on April 14th at 7:15 p.m. or as close to that time as possible at the Maine Prairie Town Hall, 7551 Dellwood Road, Kimball, MN 55353.
