Chair K. Helgeson opened the meeting at p.m. with members
E. Helgeson, Mancini, and Lindberg in attendance. Member Gallagher joined the meeting at 6:04 p.m. Member Libbesmeier was absent. The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all.
Motion by E. Helgeson, seconded by Lindberg, to approve the agenda as presented or amended. Motion carried 4-0.
Motion by Lindberg, seconded by Mancini, to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion carried 4-0 via roll-call vote.
Consent Agenda included:
• Approve minutes from the July 21, 2025, Organizational Meeting.
• Approve minutes from the August 7, 2025, Special Meeting.
• Approval of Bills.
• Treasurer’s Report.
• Accept resignation of Megan Serbus, Cubs Club Coordinator, effective September 5, 2025.

• Resolution Accepting Donations.
Mrs. Bonnifield reported on the following:
• Welcome to our new High School staff: Social Worker Mackenzie Mackley, School Psychologist Katie Potasky, 6th Grade Teacher Shanna Allen, 6th Grade Teacher Bella Kallas.
• Staff are returning this week. All new staff participate in a mentorship program, it is coordinated by Amy Sexton and Holli Sauerer.
• Changes to the HS building include a business lab upgrade with new paint, carpet, and PC computers; a sound and light system in the cafetorium and fresh paint in the locker rooms. Thank you to our custodial staff who have scrubbed all the carpets, waxed the hallways, touched up paint, and completed maintenance projects.
• Open House is on Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 4-7 p.m. Officer Theisen will be hosting the Hidden in Plain Sight trailer outside Door 10. All students in Grades 7-12 will be picking up their Chromebooks.
• Changes to High School Student Handbook.
Mr. Timmerman reported on the following:

Mr. Widvey reported on the following:

• First Day of School: August 25.
Motion by Gallagher, seconded by Lindberg, to approve increase in milk prices from $.50 to $.75. Motion carried 5-0.
Motion by E. Helgeson, seconded by Mancini, to approve Elementary Parent-Student Handbook for 2025-2026 School Year. Motion carried 5-0.
Motion by E. Helgeson, seconded by Gallagher, to approve High School Student Handbook for the 2025-2026 School Year with the stipulation that the back pack rule applies only to students in grades 6-8. Motion carried 5-0.
Motion by E. Helgeson, seconded by Lindberg, to approve Revised 10-Year LTFM Expenditures FY27 Submission. Motion carried 5-0.
Motion by E. Helgeson, seconded by Gallagher, to approve moving forward with Health Office Aide position at the High School for the 2025-2026 School Year. Motion carried 5-0.
Motion by E. Helgeson, seconded Mancini, to approve Policy items 8.1-8.27. Motion carried 5-0.
Motion by Lindberg, seconded by Gallagher, to move to closed session for Superintendent’s Evaluation. Motion carried 5-0. Time: 7:14 p.m.
Motion by Gallagher, seconded by E. Helgeson, to open closed session. Motion carried 5-0. Time: 7:15 p.m.
Motion by E. Helgeson, seconded by Mancini, to close closed session. Motion carried 5-0. Time: 7:57 p.m.
Motion by Lindberg, seconded by Gallagher, to reopen regular board meeting. Motion carried 5-0. Time: 7:58 p.m.

Vice-Chair E. Helgeson opened the meeting at 6:06 p.m. with member Gallagher in-person attending and members K. Helgeson and Lindberg attending virtually. The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all.
Motion by Gallagher, seconded by Lindberg, to approve to agenda as presented. Motion carried 4-0 via roll-call vote.
Motion by Lindberg, seconded by K. Helgeson, to approve hiring of additional 6th grade teacher for the 2025-2026 School Year. Motion carried 4-0 via roll-call vote.
Motion by Gallagher, seconded by Lindberg, to adjourn meeting. Motion carried 4-0 via roll-call vote.
