Lentz named Chief Deputy in Stearns

Stearns County Sheriff Don Gudmundson has appointed a veteran officer to the rank of Chief Deputy. Jon Lentz started as a Correctional Officer with the Sheriff?Äôs Office in 1991. ?ÄúThe Sheriff?Äôs Office has lots of things to accomplish in my 19-month term as interim Stearns County Sheriff and it made sense to me to promote an inside candidate who knows the issues, personalities and the citizens of Stearns County to be the next Chief Deputy,?Äù said Sheriff Gudmundson.
