Leonard Huset, 92
Leonard Huset died Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, at his home in Frenchtown, Mont. He was 92.
Leonard Charles Huset was born April 10, 1929, to Charles and Lena Huset in Farwell, Minn. He attended and graduated from Hoffman High School in 1947. He worked at various jobs when he was 16. Leonard served four years in the United States Navy, in the Seabees, and one year of that was served at Greenland Air Base. On June 4, 1952, he was united in marriage to V. Audrey Schmidt; to this union were born five children. Leonard worked for Bladholm Brothers for many years. They made their home in Coon Rapids and in Kimball. After retirement, he and his wife spent many years traveling the country in an RV, finally settling in Brownsville, Texas, and Frenchtown, Mont. They also spent many summers at their family farm in Elbow Lake, Minn. They continued to live in Frenchtown until his death. Leonard loved his family, and he had many interests including hunting, fishing, and going to auctions and garage sales.
Leonard is survived by his wife Audrey of Frenchtown, Mont.; children Holly (and Ian Adams) Huset, Lynn (and Dale) Anderson, Vicki (and Doug) Knaus, Jody (and Kurt) Knaus, and Gary (and Lori) Huset; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and his beloved cat Anna.
Arrangements are with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Missoula.
